Driving instructor training since 1996
ADI Qualifying Test and Licence Fees, October 2009
- Part 1 Theory and hazard perception tests £90
- Part 2 Eyesight and driving Test £111
- Part 3 Instructional ability Test £111
Please note that after a student has passed Part 1 the Driving Standards Agency allow two years to pass the two remaining tests. If for any reason either of the remaining tests aren't passed within the permitted two year period then the pupil must go back to square one and start the whole process, including the CRB check, from the beginning.
- Trainee's licence fee: £140
- ADI licence fee: £300
It is not a statutory requirement to take up the trainee's licence scheme and in many circumstances it is not recommended. Should you decide to take up the scheme, then a statutory amount of Instructional Training MUST be completed before the licence is issued and a further statutory amount must be completed with 3 months of the licence being issued or prior to the first Part 3 attempt, whichever occurs earlier.
